Nav VI Initial comments and concerns
Re: Nav VI Initial comments and concerns
BMW's Nav 6 is vastly overpriced at £600 and if I was buying again, I'd purchase a generic Garmin item. Apart from being water proof, and that's probably not necessary on an RT, it's far less functional than the £100 Garmin unit I use in my car.

Quite agree with you. Its time Garmin gave us some improved functionality. If I was in a market for a satnav I would look at the new TomTom Rider 550 priced at £399. It has wifi built in so map updates do not require a computer and you can link the device to your TomTom account to sync routes from MyDrive. If you don't like MyDrive for planning you can import a GPX route into it which will then be synced to the satnav. Comes with lifetime world maps and traffic. Anyone got one ?
