P and O Hull / Zeebrugge Cabin Sharing ?
During my many trips using the Hull / Zeebrugge ferry I have always travelled with my wife and paid for a twin Berth cabin. I am wondering what the situation is for solo travellers. I have heard stories of solo travellers being berthed with strangers. I did contact P and O some time ago for clarification on this but never received a reply. I would be interested to hear of others experience. Incidently I have trawled the P and O Web Site but can’t find any info.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Emailed P&O, their reply was, "I can confirm solo travelers can choose to either share a cabin with another or alternatively purchase a cabin for their sole use."

Yes it is, if you try & book a standard 2 berth cabin, it comes out at £98.00. When you continue with the booking process, under "Extras", there are cabin options. If you scroll down to the bottom of the page, there is a section for "Berth Options". A 4 bunk shared cabin at a cost of £41.00 per person. Therefore, if you are paying £98.00, you have the cabin to yourself. Our Gee wrote:I wonder if this choice is made clear during the booking process?

and when someone IDENTIFIES as a male but is female or tran whats it called or whatever................You know where this is going.
You cannot pick and choose the laws to obey or not; common sense has nothing to do with it. So; where do I stand if a woman wants to share or is even told to share a cabin with me?

In the doorway, with an ice bucket, chilled bottle of Moët, with 2 glasses, saying "Good evening, my names Leon - would you like a drink?"

Unfortunately my wife of 35 years would not be quite so understanding; the question goes both ways of course what if a loan lady traveller was COUPLED with some old guy.
it just goes to show how these things simply have not been thought through.

It really doesn't because obviously that wouldn't happen. Who has she been borrowed from anyway?leonjennings wrote: Unfortunately my wife of 35 years would not be quite so understanding; the question goes both ways of course what if a loan lady traveller was COUPLED with some old guy.

wrong, in the summer when ferry is full they put anyone with anyone; the law says they cannot discriminate on grounds of sex. I know this meant as lighthearted but the serious issue still remains. It will happen I'm sure. Just like men identifying as girls have been put in girls schools here and in the USA. No-one wants to address it incase they are branded an IST or ISM or something or other. The world has gone mad.
