Site moving or closing .....

Post by STeinar »

Hello everyone
I'm consider to close down the site here, but would like to see if there is someone out there that would like to continue the life of the site.
I will "give" it to someone that will take the work and have the knowledge to run the site.
You need some Apache, MySql and PHP knowledge.
I will also give you a hand transferring the data and site if you want to.
The only thing I will demand is that you continue running the site for free, no advers and that you are not selling the content or site again for money.

Anyone ?

Thats really sad. This is the best formatted site I have known and extremely well run very helpful, with no abuse or bad language.  :sueno:

Sorry to hear that STeinar, but I understand due to the amount of work it must take.

This is a superb site and a credit to STeinar, it is well run without the need for a great deal of moderation due to the baseline rules laid down by the management and the type of members that it has attracted.

I for one will be extremely sad to see it go.

Best of luck to everyone for the future.

A big +1 to these sentiments.

If members here are looking where to go if this forum closes, to find valuable information and a well run forum, I would put the BMWST forum at the very top of the pile.
Thanks for the hard work STeinar.

I am so sad to hear the news. I have only been using and commenting for a short while, and have gleaned valuable help with my 2017 RT. I hope you will continue to help someone who takes over. Excuse me while I wipe the tears from my eyes.........

This forum is very clean and functions well. I've only been on a couple months and reaped much information form the amiable members.
Sadly, these things don't run themselves, somebody has to man the controls and do the work while upholding the ideals set forth.
Hopefully a worthy and knowledgeable person can/will take over.
Till then, thanks STeinar!!

This was a sad message to read this morning.  Thank you STeinar for all the time and effort you have put in to give us such a great forum.  It is the best I've ever used.  Hopefully someone more tech-savvy than me will pick it up so we don't lose it.  It is a great asset to the RT community.
