Caliper bolt torque 2007 Hex head
Caliper bolt torque 2007 Hex head
Hi All,
does anyone have the torque values for the front and rear calipers on a 2007 Hex Head ( Non servo brakes model)? I was going to do a quick fluid change but notice the bleed nipple is concentric with banjo so probably need to shim the pistons back to remove the bulk of the fluid, which means removing the calipers. Surprisingly Google is not my friend..
Regards
Rod

From the Haynes manual, front = 30 Nm, rear = 24 Nm.Rod wrote:Does anyone have the torque values for the front and rear calipers on a 2007 Hex Head.

Thanks.
If you hear sobbing later one sheared off or stripped at a somewhat lower value

Just to confirm, these torque settings are for the calliper mounting bolts.Rod wrote:If you hear sobbing later one sheared off or stripped at a somewhat lower value.

Be aware that in most cases torque values are applicable to “dry” threads. I have seen instances where threads have been plasterd in copper slip and then torqued up to a given value with inevitable results.
