If it takes you all day to do something you used to do all day, you are getting old.

Powder coat chrome?  Good luck with that.

If you want to powder coat you will have to move the chrome plating first.  By the time you have gone to all the trouble and expense you might as well just but an after-market end can.

I have the Akrapovic Titanium and its sounds well with a deep burble on the overun, really pleased

I agree with Beagle. I also have the Akropovic  Titanium, it has a nice deep sound when accelerating but does not wear you out on the long rides. If you take out the removable baffle plate at the rear it makes the sound obnoxious to me. Good luck in your search.
I'm not lost, I just haven't been here before.

I also have a Akrapovic and with Remus de-cat headers it sounds great. Dave

On my Wethead RT, I have the Akropovic. Mine came as standard with a removable insert. It is held into the tailpipe with one small screw.
It changed that Akro' from objectionable to amazingly quiet...until you nail the throttle, then it emits a wonderful growling bellow. A big thumbs up for that silencer.
