Final drive bolt hole cover wanted.
Hiya, the final drive on my 2014 RTLC has two exposed bolt holes, used to support the flappy mudguard thing on a GS. I'm wondering if anyone has seen a cover for these?
Have searched the Touratech and Wunderlich sites but no luck.
Something to smarten it up.

Re: Final drive bolt hole cover wanted.
Thanks, good simple solution and looks better than I thought.
Re: Final drive bolt hole cover wanted.
M6 machine screw will fit. I tried a 20mm screw and it looked like I need to cut 10mm off.
So if you can get a 10mm bolt then that should be spot on.
Just need to find a black couple for my bike.
Or a spot of paint,

Re: Final drive bolt hole cover wanted.
My new RT has the black engine/shaft housing/bevel box.
I cleaned the bright machined areas of the bevel box with paint prep wipes, to remove any grease etc, then painted with Halfords Satin Black. Then to fill the holes up, I fitted some stainless Allen bolts with stainless washers. Looks good!
My aim was to create a continuous painted surface. I think that the raw edges where the machined-out areas meet the paint is where the moisture creeps in and starts to lift the paint.

Thanks David, I ordered two bolts and two washers, total bill £1.92 including carriage, hope they don't mind. Great source for bits.

Are three screws & washers required, RealOEM shows three for the GS rear mudguard, https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showpa ... Id=46_1486Toddy wrote:I ordered two bolts and two washers, hope they don't mind. Great source for bits.
Mark at Stig Fasteners is spot on & small orders are fine, he lives locally to me, I can collect, therefore no P&P.

Re: Final drive bolt hole cover wanted.
I went with stainless steel hex button screws M6x1.0x10mm . I also used stainless steel washers.
I had to purchase a bag of ten screws so I have some extras available. I have 2 sets of three bolts if interested for $1.00 plus shipping for three screws (no washers - not mandatory).

Stig Fasteners now do an M6 x 10 Torx Flange Button Screw, https://www.a2stainless.co.uk/M6-x-10-T ... AZP1A.aspx
A BMW style Torx screw that doesn't require a washer, looks neat.
