Ceramic coated header pipes
Anyone had their Header Pipes ceramic coated? Pics if possible?.. A friend of mine just had his full pipes done on his cruiser and they look pretty good! they do a Silver Chrome finish that doesn't discolour that I'd probably go for? I've also seen an RT with Black headers which looked ok to be fair. Mine are getting a little tatty now after 30k and a less than enthusiastic cleaner/polisher.
The GS 'is' the better bike :-)
Re: Ceramic coated header pipes
I ceramic coated mine black. They turn to be rather grey, but is a consistent color.
For what i was told, black is more heat resistant than silver. In my view, no mater
the color you chose is better than the burned blue the factory headers turn to be.
Since at it, and the can was showing signs of rust from a leaky battery when i bought
the bike, decided to ceramic coat it as well. I think it looks better, but that is just my
opinion!

Re: Ceramic coated header pipes
Found this on BMWLT.
"I had my stainless headers ceramic coated because the blotchy brown on my GS always bothered me. This color is called satin titanium and is browner than I thought it would be but has held up great. A year later and they still look about like this."
