Replace Antenna Base

Post by hbjones »

I need to replace my buggered antenna base on my 2008 R1200RT to keep my antenna from flopping around. Has anyone done this already? Any tips or tricks. I assume it is more complicated that simply removing the right side mirror housing, right?
I have not found any similar posts, but it sounds like I need to remove the nacelle (fairing) and the plastics, too? Yikes. All that for an $11 part.
Thanks for any info,

I think I managed the job just by removing the mirror mount - it was long time ago!

Good luck...
