Re: Map update
Updated my Nav VI. Took over two hours and was nearly 8gb
I was born with nothing and unfortunately I still have most of it left.

Re: Map update
Just checked Garmin Express, there is now a 2019.20 map update available for Zumo 660, it's 5.83GB.
Previously, with only having an 8GD SD card, I've had to re-format (clear) the card prior to installing the update due to lack of memory space. Most recently fitted a 32GB card, hopefully the map update will just go on the card & I can select which maps to use. Updating PC & device in progress, GE said it would take 3 hours, standby, I'll report back later.

Re: Map update
All done, both device & PC updated, took about 4.5 hours, for some reason the device became disconnected from the PC and had to be reconnected.
Looking at the Map Info on the device, the new maps 2019.20 have overwritten the previous 2019.10 maps.

Re: Map update
Garmin have recently released 2020.10 map update for my Zumo 660, previously 2019.20 see above.
As normal through GE, I selected update both the device & PC at the same time. The device has updated, but the PC didn't. I've contacted Garmin & they are going to investigate any potential network problems of their own. This may take a while as they have to deal with the US.
Meanwhile, since last successfully updating maps, my PC has been upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 & a new solid state hard drive fitted. Going to speak to my PC guy for any further help.
Has anyone experienced similar problems to those described above & can shed any light on the matter, thanks.

Have you tried updating again, choosing just the PC this time?
Maybe it will work, he says hopefully....

Re: Map update
Yes, when going through GE, there are now only 2 options, "Reinstall Map" to device or "Install to Computer". I keep selecting the latter & it fails to complete installation to PC.beemerboy9 wrote:Have you tried updating again, choosing just the PC this time?
Originally from GE, I had a screen like this & selected "Computer and Device", (ignore the US & Canada bit).
Now through GE, I only have a screen like this, (ignore the Change Map bit).
This confirms the update is already installed to the device, together with checking the map info on the device itself.
When trying to update the maps to my PC, I get something like this. The % complete (not shown) varies between say 10 - 40% then just stops, without showing any error.
