New engine
My 2018 LE went in for its first annual service and I asked the dealer to look at the rust. BMW have agreed to replace the whole engine. Now got to run the bike in again!

Thought we were over corrosion with the paint issues, BMW obviously haven't got it sorted then.

Prefer GT85 to WD40, not good for some plastics

Re: New engine
On my 2014, I have not used anything special to clean it, ridden all year around (I bought it at 2 years old), now done 18k, not a mark of corrosion. So I'm thinking maybe paint application issues. Hoping I'm not buying into corrosion, now I've ordered a 1250. But I guess I will get a 3 year warranty

Was this a silver or a black engine?
