I've been using my Opimate 4 this winter to keep my battery in top shape. I just bought this Opimate in October 2018.
When I pulled the plug out of the bike socket today, half the fitting stayed in the bike socket! I got it out but it will not snap back together at all. It doesn't screw together either. Seems whatever holds it together is broken.
Anyone else have that happen? I can't find my receipt either, for the 3 year warranty. I wasn't rough with it and probably only plugged the darned thing in maybe 5-6 times! Bummer.....

That’s what I’m doing, I just wondered if anyone else has had this happen to their unit.
Worst case, I could splice a new Can Bus connector on myself.

Not had any issues with mine which is almost 2 years old. The length of the lead means even though it is close by and there is a fair bit on the floor from the unit , never had any issues with Optimates.

I never heard of any problems with Optimates either. It figures I probably got a defective plug. The thing came apart so easily.
