Hi, All.
I'm the proud new owner of a very clean, low mileage (37,000 km) 2008 R1200RT. It has the TCS, heated grips and seat, ESA. No stereo or TPMS, I don't think.
Previous bikes, over the last 25 years, include (from latest to oldest):
Yamaha Fazer 8 (FZ8S) - still in the garage
Suzuki DL1000 V-Strom - '03 to '14
Kawasaki ZRX1100 - '00 to '03
Kawasaki ZG1000 Concours - '98 to '00
Kawasaki ZX-6(E) - '97 to '98
Yamaha DT200 - '95 to '98
Various Yamaha XS400s - '90 to '94
I live in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada
So far I've identified the following desired farkles:
Powerlet to SAE adapter (ordered) for my old e-vest.
Tank bag that latches on to the bracket on the tank? No ideas here. Just a small one to hold a couple knick-knacks with a map window.
More windshield - I'm fairly tall (6'2" and feel like I'm still getting quite a bit of buffeting on my shoulders at highway speeds. No idea on what are the best brands/models.
GPS mount - the bike came with a BMW Nav IV on a Touratech dash mount. I'd leave it at that, but the mount is absurdly low and rearward, with the mount itself blocking my view of the idiot lights, nevermind when the GPS is rotated down into sight, in which case the speedo and tach are also largely obscured. Someone has suggested the Wunderlich GPS mount. I'm also considering modifying the existing Touratech bracket.

I had this problem with my 2011 bike. I found some wind deflectors that fit above the indicators which sorted that out very nicely

I saw these used windshields advertised in your area recently:

Thanks for the tips, guys.
I think the Aeroflow windshield might be a bit bigger than I want. I was thinking a couple inches extra in height, not 7. It's already huge!
