RT1200 LE (2017) - pannier liners wanted.

Post by MattyP »

Hi all.  Can anybody tell me where I can pick up a cheap pair of pannier liners for my RT1200 LE (2017).  They are needed to fit the standard panniers that come with the bike.  As expected the official BMW liners are astronomically priced!

Cheers.  Matt

Ebay.

Got some for my vario panniers for about 30 quid. They were fine.
Spend a few pounds more and you can get them with fancy red piping.

They look just like a set I bought on ebay for my 2011 RT. I think they're just fine as well.

I've bought stuff from this guy before including my current liners. Are they as good quality as the BMW ones? No. Are they a lot worse? No, the amount I use them they will last longer than I will have the bike. And they pack up smaller than the BMW ones when not in use.

The pannier bags are listed in the ebay advert to fit an R1200RT LC, the photos show both a K1200GT & R1200RT TC, the side cases are slightly different.

I'm still using my old shape K1300GT liners from this guy in the new shape RT LC boxes.  Seem to be fine and, because they are a lightly different shape, leave a few nooks and crannies for things you want to leave on the bike when you take them into the hotel.  Been using them for a few years and they are still fine.

The ones from my Vario's seem to fit, not perfect but ok. I'll use them for my next trip, if they turn out to be problematic then I'll order some bike specific ones ( still off eBay though).

Bobs Sells their own line of liners under the Kathy’s Journey line.  I’ve used them on my GS and my RT.  Excellent bags.  https://www.bobsbmw.com/store/bike/r120 ... ey-designs
