Hi all. The off-side engine cowling of my RT1200 LE (2017) has an abrasion on it (Woops!) as can be seen on the photograph attached. Can anybody advise me of how easy it is to replace this and where I might pick one up at a decent price (I realise though that I may need to go back to BMW and pay a fortune though!).
All advice greatly appreciated.
Cheers. Matt.

Help needed with abrasion to engine cowling
Re: Help needed with abrasion to engine cowling
That would polish out with the right process and repaint or with heat resistant filler and repaint.
Maybe something like this,

I had very similar damage on my '06 RT. A local mobile 'smart repair' guy came out and sorted it - perfect colour match, invisible repair....£40! ;D

Another option may be to cover up the damage with some head protectors, such as:https://www.motocard.com/en/engine-guard/givi-ph5108.aspx?country=GB¤cy=GBP&utm_campaign=comparadores&utm_source=google&utm_medium=comparadores_en&utm_term=engine%20guard_givi_m-0751461&size=UNICA&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI79SY06H84QIVTRDTCh0xKAs8EAQYAyABEgLKAPD_BwE
