Re: Tyre fitter
Biketyres247.Com in Bury are pretty good. Always reasonable on price and careful with your bike. He rode a 1000xr last time I went so he's aware of the tpm's
The GS 'is' the better bike :-)

Re: Tyre fitter
National Bike Tyres offer a "ride in ride out" service, https://www.nationalbiketyres.co.uk/ They come highly recommended by myself, haven't used anyone else for years.
If you're passing by, it would be good to see you. "Ride in" to Teesside, remove the wheels, take them to NBT (in the car), might save some pennies, "ride out" to Scotland.
If there is any doubt about the tyres lasting, get them changed. I got caught out having to have a tyre changed at Wick. The roads are great, but chew up your tyres.
AMS Motorcycles WICK supplied & fitted the tyre, https://www.facebook.com/amswick/

Re: Tyre fitter
If you would like the BMW experience, a friend had his bike serviced at Cooper BMW Sunderland today. He supplied two new tyres & they charged him £20 (probably plus VAT) per wheel for fitting. Sounds like false economy to me.
At NBT, fitting charges can & do vary depending on the cost of/profit in the tyres themselves. If you choose to use them, obviously, best to give them a call first to agree a price.
What tyres are you looking for, at the moment some manufacturers are offering £30 cash back which will effectively pay for "ride in ride out" fitting.
Use these links for Michelin, Metzeler or Dunlop, http://www.guildfordmotorcycle.co.uk/pr ... ee_fitting all valid until 30th June 2019.

Re: Tyre fitter
cheers Sim and David should have about 3,000 miles tread, but will almost be shot when get home. Dont want to put new rubber on and end up with two lots of squared off part worn for summer.
