Garmin Nav 6 'My Motorcycle' App

So here is the definitive answer from BMW:
The 'My Motorcycle' application is only made available on bikes with the factory audio/radio option.
It's only a software issue and they are working on an update patch for all compatible RTs and could be available mid 2018.
I would suggest to anyone interested that they badger their dealer and it might speed the process up.

My 1250 doesn't have audio, but does have my motorcycle. My 2014 which did have audio, never had my motorcycle

It's not possible through normal BMW channels.

It is through a software update and I understood 2018 bikes should have the app showing.

Having had my bike serviced and a software update to the bike, I now have "my motorcycle" in Apps on my Nav

I wish I could say the same for 2015. After software updates, still no "My Motorcycle ". They think it's a hardware thing.

My Nav 5, used on '14 RT, When  put on my '16 MY17 RT brings up all the 'My Motorcycle' stuff. Didn't have to alter any settings just did it all by itself!

Bizarre - my '15 RS and Nav5 or Nav6 had "My Motorcycle".  When I changed to the RT I had no idea that some bikes might not have it - it's still on mine, I was wondering why I'd bothered to buy one with audio  :))

Yup.  I contacted BMW and they told me not all bikes support my motorcycle.  As some are not fitted with sensors required and cannot be fitted after.  Odd only some, even some later models are not compatible.  Silly to me.

There was a thread on another forum about this. Apparently later bikes that had audio got My Motorcycle app, then from 2018 (I believe or could have been 2017) all got it, whether you had audio or not. My 1250 has it and does not have audio. My 2014 had audio and no My Motorcycle app.

Hi mate the app will not work on my 14 plate with a nav 6.
I put it on other models of bmw in the dealers and it worked. I was told it would not work on the RT. I just had a soft ware update when the bike was serviced and the app still is not there.
My bike can not have the software to run the app.
