BMW NAV VI ( 6 ) time error

Post by davef1uk »

Not sure if this is mine or others, but my say nav time which is gps run, is 3 minutes out of sinc.  I can’t correct it, override it so is it annoying.

My phone which is gps auto time is correct.  Dam sat nav isn’t.  Odd.  Hmmm

That's very odd - you can turn off the GPS auto time in settings, are you sure that you haven't done that?

I know I could turn it off, but then I would have to set the time manually each time or would it remember when I take it off?  Cheers

Thats odd, just checked my Nav VI and it hasn't been on the bike for a couple of weeks and the time is 100% correct. I have the bike set to auto, so the Sat Nav updates the bikes time.

As I understand it sat navs work by comparing time signals from different satellites, so for the gps time to be incorrect points to something very wrong indeed....

Factory reset? After backing up obviously.
I suppose it's worth a try
