Fuse locations 2019 R1250RT

Anyone know where the 50amp fuse is located on the bike.  I think it’s for the voltage regulator

As far as I know (and according to page 22 of the manual) it's under the front seat, between the height adjuster and the ECU.  Bit concerning that you would need to know this  :beee:

I have looked there and all I can find is the two smaller fuses in the fuse holder that looks like a connector.

It shouldn’t be concerning I like to carry extra fuses in case I am out on the road and either myself or a fellow rider needs them. I did read about this fuse being blown from a person who was using jumper cables.  But it doesn’t do any good to be prepared with a spare fuse if you can’t find the place to use it. That is why I am asking for help in locating it on the bike.  I like to know as much as I can about the bike in the event of a failures. It has proven helpful in the 46 years I have been riding BMW motorcycles.  We don’t have the luxury of the most popular brand or the largest dealer network.

OK well I'll try again then - it's the large black object which is held down by two screws and has two large red cables attached at the front.  The picture in the manual is quite clear.

I like to carry my BMW Rescue number as the bike has a 3 year warranty.

I just checked my bike and you are absolutely correct.  Once you gave me the description I was easily able to locate it.  Much appreciation and gratitude to your sir.  I did take the cover off and it doesn’t like a standard fuse.  I will have do some research to locate a spare, and determine if it is worth it or not.  Again thank you sir....

A laudable attitude. Indeed, when I toured on my Norton Atlas back in the late 70's I carried practically an entire bike in spares. It was this (and having the tools to do it) that enabled me to change a pushrod by the side of the road in Rouen on the way back from Provence one year.
Let's hope nobody ever actually manages to blow that 50A fuse...

Are we looking at the same webpage?  They do have a 50 amp fuse.  Part no. 9180K82

If you're in the UK you can get them from RS or Farnell. You may have to buy 10 though.....

I'm still puzzling how anyone could blow this fuse using jump leads - the +ve jump lead post is connected directly to the battery and -ve is frame, I can't see how the fuse could be involved unless they were connecting in an unconventional fashion...
