Fender extender for R1250RT

Post by OldKid »

Bit early I suspect but has anyone found a fender extender that will fit the 1250RT with the new 'spoilers' in place?

machineartmoto, https://machineartmoto.com/, sells an extender that does not require drilling holes into your existing fender. I purchased one for my 2015 R1200RT three years ago and was very happy with the result. I bought a new 2019 R1250RT last month and ordered one for it. They had to redesign the extension, because of the spoilers BMW added to the R1250RT. The redesigned part is due to be shipped later this month. If it is as good as the one for the R1200RT I will be happy.

Machine Art Moto will fit exactly when they release it.  They are one of the best after market manufacturers you can buy from.
Their cylinder head covers are very very nice.  Their GS hand guards are super nice and very unique in allowing air in the summer, and keeping air and rain out in the winter.  And their fender extender is the best on the market.

I received the MachineartMoto Avant fender extender today. Installed on my R1250RT with the same ease as the one I put on my R1200RT. Very little clearance between the Avant and the air foil on the bike, but it works.

I bought one from Nippy's last week.  It's only close to the plastic when the bike is on the centre stand - once the suspension is compressed there's lots of clearance.

I bought one from Nippy Normans 2 weeks ago for £57.  Easy to fir and will definitely protect the front of the engine from stones and other crud.
