Help Identifying Power Sockets

Hi all...trying to learn what i can about my new-to-me 2013 R1200RT.  Can you please help me identify these power sockets under the front fairing and behind the seats?

Bernman, is your machine an ex-authority vehicle? I am asking because it appears to be painted white and has an additional cooling fan.

Not 100% sure by any means, could this be for TPM or an alarm box which would be tucked behind the seat.

Is the bike fitted with a BMW Nav. cradle like this one.



The two white connectors look very similar to these.

I believe the bike is stock and with no police equipment...the bike is actually silver but the tail rack in the picture makes it look white.  I’ll have to look into the oil cooler situation.  The bike does have the nav cradle with the 4 buttons...does the cradle use both the white plugs?

If the bike is fitted with a factory audio system, the 2 pin plug is used for audio (mono) output and the 3 pin plug is for power, (only 2 pins used).

it's showing the headlight unit bulb covers.



Sorry for any confusion, silly me.

The connection highlighted to the top right will be for the headlight unit itself.

Any further thoughts on the one behind the pillion seat?

Hi David...i took a bunch of fairing off today to install some cylinder protectors and was able to see the top plug was for all the headlights and there definitely no aftermarket oil cooler.  You helped figure out the navigation plugs (thanks!) but I noticed there’s actually a third capped plug on the same bundle as the nav plugs, so now i want to figure out what that one does.  I still don’t know what the tail plug is for.

This looks like a 2 pin connector. The Haynes manual wiring diagram says, "Note - where anti-theft/tyre pressure control unit is not fitted, the CAN bus is terminated with a terminating resistor."

Can the socket/plug be prised open to confirm.

It appears to be the Canbus connector for the DWA (alarm) and/or RDC (Tire Pressure Monitor System) module:


Does your bike have either/both of those options? The module will be located under the luggage rack area and looks like this:

Hi David...I'll take a look after work but my bike does not have a security system or tire pressure monitor so it looks like it supports just power to either.  From the other thread, it looks like the capped connector under the front fairing is for auxiliary lights then?
