With Speedway & F1 both being cancelled/banned, it'll free up Sundays to ride RT's.

With five confirmed NM's, possibly more, how about this for an idea.

The new NM's HQ to be Sainsbury's Leeds Colton Superstore Café, https://stores.sainsburys.co.uk/0867/leeds-colton (near Garforth off M1 J46).

Sunday would be the preferred day. An 11:00 departure from Garforth would allow travelling to & breakfast time.

A day circular ride out of around 4 hours riding time, plus say 3 x P&T stops (allowing up to an hour for each),  would see us back at Garforth for 18:00.

Does this look feasible to those concerned.

I like the idea, i think i would prefer to ride more than stop...so if we stop for brunch, an hour is fine...further stops i think should be long enough for a a cuppa only to refresh and relieve oneself , so i think 15 mins to 30 max! be

I take your point Dave, you'll be surprised how time flies when stopped, 30 mins is a good guide for a P&T stop. This could trim up to an hour off the day, not a bad idea when we'll have another hour to ride home from Garforth. Plus, 6 hours riding in a day is certainly long enough for me & I'd rather aim to get home for 18:00 rather than 19:00.

Yeah i agree... but as summer draws closer, longer days :) so depends  on dates, as finishing at 6 now is a little crap as sun sets for 6:20... :)

Looks like we won't be going anywhere in a hurry. Plenty of time to learn how to use BaseCamp and plan some rides ready for when we get the all clear again.

why?

Let not panic.  We are single riders in a small group enjoying rides..  we don't need to worry or have anything to worry about!  The government and media are blowing this out of control as they have done with aids, obola, sarse, and many other...

statistics  say it all...  1.814 infected in Uk... 1.794 mild conditions... 20 serious or critical...  we have at least 50 million people living in uk, even on that figure, thats 0.005 percent...

Its less dangerous than the flu and people don't think twice about that...  110.000 infected globally, and  over 72000 have recovered.

For the time being (Coronavirus),  if & when NM's ride outs do get up & running, how do folks feel about avoiding cafes etc.

I have a brew kit, a single burner gas stove, kettle, tea pot etc. to make a brew, could take a picnic too.

Is this something others would consider doing, it might be quite good fun whilst keeping 2m apart!

If we are avoiding cafes, i would assume the latter, as in picnic, bringing our own sandwiches etc!

We don't have a choice now.

The P part of the P&T stops might be challenging.
