Today on starting my 2015 LE I noticed a blinking red light on the instrument panel. After a minute it went off. I suspected key fob problem, maybe battery needs replacing? On looking at the back of the key fob the indent on the plastic cover is well chewed up by previous owner . I suspect any attempt at turning the cover will be problematic. Before I completely ruin the cover, which way does it turn and by how much? Any idea how to prise it off without butchering the cover and damaging the inside. What is directly under the cover if I have to hole it to get inside?
Can someone whip off their cover and have a look please-thanks

Not quite. It is central locking but not keyless. The fob has two large silvered buttons on the front with a tiny led. The reverse side is a circular cut out with a notch in the middle-like to turn with a coin or similar.

This is what it's like... I use a pound coin to undo after failing with most other ways. 1/4 turn anti clockwise. Then fingernail under the edge to pose off the cover. You'll have to reset the fob to the bike then... here.

Thanks Smileymiley that's the one. No chance of any coin getting any grip to turn, so will carefully make a hole to get a better grip. Failing that I will get my impact driver and big hammer and whack it!!!

Might be worth looking for a new case for the key fob, so you just move the electronics over to the replacement. I've done this myself with a Lotus key and I've seen BMW car key replacements so they are probably available for the bikes as well. When I did the Lotus it was only a few quid and made life a lot easier.
