Throttle Gizmo
Throttle Gizmo
Got one of these and tried it yesterday. It felt good at first but after a while I discovered it does nothing to combat fingers going numb and it actually makes throttle movement erratic.
Decided to remove it and have ordered some foam grips.

Re: Throttle Gizmo
I've got "grip puppies" on both my RT and GS and they help me with the bikes vibrations.Beagle wrote: Got one of these and tried it yesterday. It felt good at first but after a while I discovered it does nothing to combat fingers going numb and it actually makes throttle movement erratic.

The GS 'is' the better bike :-)
Re: Throttle Gizmo
Its not the vibration but the pressure on the fingers reducing blood supply by the glove and also gripping the throttle grip. Doesn't happen on the left hand. Gloves have plenty of room so not size.

Re: Throttle Gizmo
I have the throttle rocker as well i find it works good if your fingers start to get stiff , dunno about going numb though , cold ? circulation ?
Re: Throttle Gizmo
I used one of those on my Triumph Sprint, only found it fully useful on motorways and other constant speed roads, now use cruise control in those situations. I think if you are trying to use it for country lanes you are on a hiding to nothing but it is still useful as when you come into a village and you want to travel through at a constant sensible speed you can stretch your fingers out (which incidentally makes them closer to the brake for when the random child runs out) thereby giving you some relief.

I manage to play my guitar fingerstyle. I think its something to do with gripping the small in circumference twist grip with gloves on. Its this that restricts circulation in the fingers. Maybe the extra foam grips Ive ordered will help.hammo wrote: I have the throttle rocker as well i find it works good if your fingers start to get stiff , dunno about going numb though , cold ? circulation ?
