Hello all
Frustrating day: simple task, made difficult
One of the spring clips has “stripped” on one of the panels, and having a great problem identifying what size BMW use on the R1250 RT (assume same ones used on the 1200 model?)
I do have a small stock of these, and Amazon have loads, together with a company called Speedy Fasteners: but they all seem to be too large overall. Although admittedly I am using a steel rule to measure them, rather than the missing micrometer
Rather than ride the 40 miles to a dealer (who probably will want to order them in); does anyone know please?

Re: Spring clips
Is it something like this you are looking for, if so, ask your local BMW dealer to pop one in the post.Scallywag355 wrote:One of the spring clips has “stripped” on one of the panels, and having a great problem identifying what size BMW use on the R1250 RT
Alternatively, order one from here, https://www.online-parts.co.uk/bmw-bike ... og_details

Re: Spring clips
Search on eBay for M5 chimney nuts/spire clips, there's 1000s of the things on there, assuming you're looking for the ones in David's pic. No need to pay BMW prices, just make sure you get decent quality ones.
