Question on the 1250engine for 2020 owners
The 1250 engine has been noted for so some peculiar noise...If you own a 2020, have come across any eccentric noise in the engine: like a tik or a pop coming out the exhaust (these are the ones I have seen on the forums
If it takes you all day to do something you used to do all day, you are getting old.

you normally only hear a 'pop' when changing up or down using the pro shift, as it cuts the ignition on the gear change for a split second. Most cars with a DSG (Direct shift) gearbox do the same pops. It's nothing to worry about and doesn't cause any damage to the bike.
Some people (me included) like the pops

I have not heard any eccentric / unexplained, pops or bangs from my 1250. It has, thus far, behaved in a very civilised manner regardless of manual or quickshifter gear changes.

I get the occasional "pop" when changing gear (downshift with quickshifter) but nothing else. Hardly noticeable (I think I only heard it, as I had changed from a K1600 GTL, which was much, much quieter).
