I rode my 2020 RT yesterday after a few weeks of it being sat in my garage. The brakes were free when I set off but during the short ride to work and after using the rear brake it continued to be applied but freed itself before I could stop. On the way home I followed a much longer and different route home and thx same problem occurred.
Tonight I plan to remove the rear wheel, pads and give it a good clean and put a smear of copperslip behind the pads.
Two questions
Any tips
Rear wheel bolt torque ?
Thanks

A great video from Boxflyer, again, the ABS pump is shown as being activated/cycled during the brake fluid flush procedure.

Keep an eye on the pedal pivot as well. There is a mix of an alloy pedal, a carbons steel pivot and stainless fixings - in salty conditions the galvanic corrosion is incredible. I dropped mine doing a slow turn when the pedal did not return, hence holding the back brake on. I now check the back brake comes off before every ride now!

2020 bike, I would be taking back to the dealer for a warranty fix?
Hope you find a soution either way, as an owner of a 2020 as well I am interested in what you find, shouldn't be having this problem on a new bike
Good luck

Thanks for all th3 assistance, sadly other things got in the way and the job has been postponed until tomorrow or even Thursday night, but must be done before Saturday when I’m on duty.
I dont believe it’s appropriate to go back to the dealer, it’s just a mix of riding in filthy conditions followed by neglect on my part. A good clean should suffice. In practical terms getting a slot at my dealer and taking time out of work before the bike is needed is unlikely.

Tonight I removed the exhaust silencer and rear wheel, which enabled me to clean them both properly. The caliper floats easily on the pins so I didn’t pull that, the pads were disgusting so cleaned carefully and the backs smeared with copperslip the locking pin cleaned and lightly greased, all reassembled ready for a ride tomorrow.
Thanks for the assistance, especially the video, which I subscribed to.
I liked the boards to poke the bodywork fixings into, if anyone knows where the diagrams can be downloaded I’d definitely make some up.

Thanks once again Boxflyer, I will print them off at work today and mount them.
