Crud Catcher by Cymarc Engineering

Post by beemerbaz »

I have one of these on my RT to help protect the front engine casing. Mine was powder coated black to match the bike.

One thing to ponder about this if fitted to a 2014 model. Behind the front cover on a pre 2014 RT there is not much more than the bottom pully for the alternator. On the 2014 its a wet clutch. Just thinking that it probably relies a little on the air flow over the cover which it wont get with the catcher fitted. For that reason alone I will be looking at a fender extender.

I have just fitted the same set up to my 1200 LE and haven't ridden it yet (fitted tonight) but it does look as if the extender will hit the crud catcher when the shocks bounce. Will let you know ...

I notice Pope's pic has the motif RT on it. Mine has nothing but it is made by Cymark.

No problems with clearances here. And remember, there is very little front dive, due to the Tele-Lever system.

BTW, i asked for the RT logo to be added on mine (no cost option).
