R1200RT LC Rear Wheel

The paint is peeling off the rear wheel of our R1200RT 2014. It is coming off in sheets around the Rim. I have no experience of painting or whatever wheels.


Can these wheels be painted or powder coated, or is it best to cough up for a used one that isn't peeling.

I see no reason why that cannot be refurbished. Easy with the back wheel no bearings or disc to remove.

I had mine powder coated ('15 model) good news is that you only need to replace the front wheel bearingsbe

Tyre being removed today and off for powder coating, so will see how that turns out

That's good news. My powder coater said yes it can be repaired, may need some alloy filler and self levelling primer, but it can be done. I'll PM you his prices.
