I had these mirrors on my 2010 RT twin-cam - genuine BMW mirrors including adaptors to bolt straight on - these make a big improvement on the standard mirrors, one of the best and most simple mods to an RT.
Fits the twin-cam 2010-2013, not sure if they will fit the earlier RT. Not suitable for the RT-LC.

Re: RT mirror upgrade
Can you post a pic of where the attach to the bike? They appear to have old-school clamps. Do they interfere with the windscreen when it's lowered?

Found this photo from Max BMW, I believe that the mirror clamps replace those fitted to the top of the brake & clutch lever mounts.jackronner wrote:Can you post a pic. of where they attach to the bike?

Buckingham, You're right that these don't fit earlier (or later) RT's. A shame, since the stock mirrors are awful. I wound up fitting old-fashioned mirrors with parts from a hardware store (ironmongers, for you Brits). I'll not offend you folks by showing a pic. They ain't pretty, but they work. I call such mods "Iron Mongrels".

Re: RT mirror upgrade
Just use a pair of what BMW call pipe clamps, pn 32 72 8 532 971, item 9 here https://shop.maxbmw.com/fiche/DiagramsMain.aspx?vid=58550&rnd=09082020
These allow you to use any screw-in mirror that has the right thread. I have a pair of GS mirrors which work very well.
Whoever designed those useless idiotic stock mirrors on the RT should be forced to use them, permanently.

Re: RT mirror upgrade
Worth noting, BMW changed the right hand mounting for the twin-cam 2013 year model only (final year before the LC).
The 2013 has 6mm mounting screws for the brake master cylinder, whereas the 10-12 model years had 5mm screws. In short, if you've got a 2013 you need a different mounting clamp.
