Good morning everyone, this is my first ever forum post being a dinosaur in a digital age.
I am generaly very pleased with the bike, it is going in for a warranty repair and I could do with knowing what i need to do if anything about the three issues below, your help will be greatly appreciated.
I previously ran a Yam XS1.1s for nearly 30 years and got used to the torque and faultless engine.
On tick over even with the engine warm there is what feels like a partial misfire, you can feel it and the rev counter fluctuates, is this normal or am i being too picky.
Sometimes when rolling the throttle on from low revs about 1500 there is a hesitation then a strong pull kind of 2 stroke power band in feeling but very brief again am I being too picky being used to a in line 4.
And the last question when I put the bike in neutral and release the clutch there is a rattle in the engine which eventualy partly subsides, as soon as i pull the clutch in it goes has anyone any idea as to what this might be, I have my own thoughts from cars it sounds like worn clutchplate splines however I confess to having no practical experience of these engines and gearboxes.
Any and all help appreciated.

Re: R1200RT running problems
Throttle synchronisation may need checking. If the valves are out of synchronisation, less than ideal throttle response will result.
Before undertaking this procedure, make sure the valve clearances are correct.
After my 2012 Camhead has been stored over winter, the clutch does rattle as described above when re-commissioned. I put it down to lack of use and something sticking, it improves with use. I did once get a BMW dealer to check it, they confirmed it not to be a problem.

Re: R1200RT running problems
I think you will find any of the older R's and K's with the getrag transmission do that, it's quite a large clunky 3 shaft transmission.. my R60 /2, K100, K1100 and K1200 all did it.
