Adding these auxiliary lights will help you get more noticed during the day, and really increases your illumination for night riding.  This has been one of my favorite additions to my bike.

Welcome.  Sounds like you have the most "essential" feature already: Sally.  Innit great to have someone to share the road?  But I do agree with Kim that the auxiliary lights are great for daytime filtering.  I have a pair that has a setting that flashes them, a bit like police lights, that really seems to get drivers' attention.  I also put my brights on during daytime filtering.  I think you'll really enjoy the nimble handling of the RT in the twisties as compared to your last Beemer.

I also traded in a K1600GTLE for a 2020 R 1250 RT.  No regrets, prefer the 'relative' simplicity of the Boxer.  The lower weight is also very welcome.
