2019 1250 RT, 33,000 miles since Sept 2019......ridden frequently and maintained "above and beyond" scheduled maintenance.
Last week, in for oil/filter change........."clunk" in rear of bike; taken apart to reveal completely rusted/siezed components and universal joint;'
Lucky: 1) still just under warranty which covered replacement 2) about to leave for 2 weeks in Colorado from Oregon
So, there are a couple of searches that revealed there is NO BMW recommended service interval ! Will be checking at least once per
year , or every 15-18K.
Anyone else aware of this issue? Local tech mentioned only seeing on few 1250s

A big thank you. I’ll be having serviced frequently. If you have time, I’d be interested in knowing some of the additional services you do in addition to BMW list. I’ll be keeping this 2019…..I like my current dash layout and separate GPS location.

WOW!! Videos very well done…….answers my question above.
I noted the Iron Butt tag holder…..I “ lost “ my neighbor who moved to Arizona, I think, who did some work for me….you may know him as he was quite involved with the group..
