Hello all, new owner and member

Post by Tog »

Hello all, bought my 1st RT yesterday.  I's a 2014 last of the TC's with only 34k on it.  I'm not new to bikes and have been riding a while, mainly HD and GS's.  Oh I also have an incurable addiction to my overland Ural sidecar (now converted to R80 engine).
Loads of learning and reading to do.

First thoughts on the bike?
The windscreen is really good, its a nice place to be behind it.  Footpegs maybe a little high for what I'm used to.  With it being ex job I need a horn, and to remove the auxillary battery which I dont think I'll need.  Maybe install some spotlights wheres some of he strobes might have been.
Oh no, its started again!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome, Tog.  Started my love of cycles early on my English uncle's 1936 600cc Panther with . . . a sidecar (tho' I preferred riding pillion).  A huge, two-person sidecar with hand-operated windshield wiper and sunroof.  It was the family car until the '60's.  Here's a pic - now THAT's a sidecar.

Welcome to the forum, Tog.

Jackronner - Nice Panther outfit, with a Busmar double adult chair, on a Panther chassis?

The bike looks to be a 60's Springer (either Model 100 or 120) - definitely not a 1936 machine.

I only had a single seat chair on my 1964 M120, but it was great fun.  Outfits can be addictive.

Regards,
