GT/L top case on a 2016 R1200RT?
I know this has probably been asked/answered 1000 times on this site and others, but I admittedly have not been able to find the answer that easily so forgive me for beating that horse again. I'm looking at a 2016 R1200RT that has no Top case and I want to get a top case that provides better support and wrap around for my wife, than the regular RT top cases. I (think) I have seen that its possible to put a 1600GT/L top case on the RT, but want to confirm.

Yes it will fit. But the GTL case sits about an inch further back on the GTL than the mounting on the 1600GT. Therefore with the extra padding etc you may lose a little space. But the RT/GT top box is exactly the same size, its just the padding that is different. I have mounted my RT top box on a GTL.
