Seized sump plug

Post by Sharkfighter »

I started to service my RT today only to find that the sump plug was stuck.  Anyone any suggestions how to remove it without causing damage? Or should I take it to the dealer that serviced it last year and get them to remove it?

Having had the experience of removing a sump plug on a Hexhead which resulted in the sump thread becoming partially stripped, I'd say yes.
