If you buy the ready made splitter then when you come and sell the bike you can put it all back to original and sell the splitter. So effectively the splitter would only cost say £30. What's not to like. Easy stress free solution. Job done. Another good find by David.

I think I will take the Aux plug out and check a few suplliers first, If I can't buy the connectors then I might bite the bullet.

Could replace the OEM aux. socket with one of these and use spade connectors, (check panel hole size).

This is part of a kit from Motorworks for £20, Motorworks BMW Motorcycle Specialists - Shop - Spares and Accessories the socket on its own is probably available for less.

Found this quote from Nippy Normans, "Tyco connectors (more recently renamed as TE connectors) are the standard fitment on BMW motorcycles since 2004".

May help in the search for connectors.

The NN quote was used to identify the manufacturer of the BMW OEM connectors. I thought they might just be a pair of generic connectors rather than suitable to fit between the OEM aux. socket and connector. Sorry for any confusion but for minimal cost, I hope they work for you.

I will use one pair regardless so it's only £4, I think I can risk that :)

Should the NN connectors be unsuccessful, found this thread on the R1200R Forum, USB Plug project in need of help | BMW R1200R Forum discussing the same.

Although I don't use ebay, I'm continually drawn towards this seller in Bulgaria, Accessory BMW Rt Gs R F St GT K power outlet splitter Hella Din connector | eBay looks like it's exactly what is required for less than £25.
