Extra brake lamp.

Got any questions about the BMW's R1200RT/R1250RT's onboard audio, Bluetooth or the Electrical system?

Extra brake lamp.

Post by Doctor T »

Hi, I want to fit an extra brake lamp under the number plate. It's a 2007 model. The lamp is LED and am thinking of tapping into the rear light wires.
Will the cambus be affected each time i brake?. I've never fitted extra lights on a cambus bike before so i thought of asking the knowledgeable people on here first before i go soldering wires.

The brake lamp bulb holders have spade connections, could always use these.

I got my modulated brake light and started to install it yesterday. I stopped upon noteing how much Tupperware that had to be removed in order to get to the brake light. My new RT is fast becoming my least favorite motorcycle to work on. I am just going to wait until I do my annual service. B^(
I will be looking forward to hear about your success

No tupperware on the 2011 model (they couldn'tbethat much different could they?)... just two screws, one on either side of the tail light housing on the 2011 model....
