When did linked brakes come in and what models have it?.
Trust me I am a retired Doctor and lecturer at Oxford University of Structural and Mechanical/Electrical engineering.

Don't know when linked brakes were first introduced but both Hexheads (2007) and Camheads (2012) have them.

So my 2007 Hexhead should have then. How can i test them to see if they work?

On my last ride, i did feel like both brakes were working when i used only the front lever. My old 2007 must have had the same but i forget the feeling of both brakes working. Funny there are no YT videos showing or explaining this.

To do this check I believe you will need to have the ignition switched on, although when I tried it there where some rather unpleasant sounds emitted from under the tank !!.

Yes, with the ignition switched on, the ABS motor/pump will be activated to control the braking system.

All RT models have linked brakes dating back to the R1150rt from around 2000 onwards.
The GS 'is' the better bike :-)

I suspect it refers to RS, R models as well within these years. One article i read said it only works from 30 mph upwards. Under that, it's normal brakes. K bikes is different. Their link brake system works at any speed
