Re: linked brakes
Don't know when linked brakes were first introduced but both Hexheads (2007) and Camheads (2012) have them.

Re: linked brakes
Pull the front handbrake lever only and see if any braking force is applied to the rear wheel.Doctor T wrote:How can I test them to see if they work.

Re: linked brakes
On my last ride, i did feel like both brakes were working when i used only the front lever. My old 2007 must have had the same but i forget the feeling of both brakes working. Funny there are no YT videos showing or explaining this.

To do this check I believe you will need to have the ignition switched on, although when I tried it there where some rather unpleasant sounds emitted from under the tank !!.

Re: linked brakes
Yes, with the ignition switched on, the ABS motor/pump will be activated to control the braking system.

David has given some info but if further details are required you might just have to do some research.

All RT models have linked brakes dating back to the R1150rt from around 2000 onwards.

Re: linked brakes
I suspect it refers to RS, R models as well within these years. One article i read said it only works from 30 mph upwards. Under that, it's normal brakes. K bikes is different. Their link brake system works at any speed
