Re: What did you do today?
Wee run up to the Glenfinnan Viaduct (Harry Potter fame) and back. 300 mile round trip for me, stopped in Gen Coe on the way back, clouds were touching the mountains so very dramatic. Traffic was quite busy but moving well.... cracking day, 15 deg c in the glen and 24 deg when back down. Loads of bikes out, stopped in the Green Welly (rest stop / cafe) next to a couple touring on a harley, she said, thinking I couldnt hear, "nice to see a tourer other than a BMW" when looking at a Kawasaki with panniers...... when I looked around the car park 75% of the bikes were BMW's :alas:

Re: What did you do today?
Been out over the last 3 days on my 650. Friday, just a potter around locally for the first ride of the season. Saturday, met up with some VJMC chums at York/Tadcaster and went to Bingley, Ilkely, Pateley Bridge and Ripon. Sunday, out with the local IAM bunch met at Darlington, went to Hawes, Ripon and Thirsk. Covering 350 miles in total over the 3 days.
Was in the same car park as above (#316) at Hawes yesterday.

Just confirmed my new 22 RT's shipping container was unloaded from the ship in New York today. Figure I will have my new toy in 2 weeks or so (Central California) 8) . Can't wait, have had 13' GS and a 16' GSA. Test road them all again before purchase and figured I would go for the RT this time. I went to the dealer to get a new GS and changed my mind after riding the RT. I already have the accessories sitting in boxes waiting for the bike. Have city lids at the painter getting painted to match the stock lids... I am stoked!

Had a nice run out over the hill to Helmsley, where the local sheriff pointed us in the direction of the cafe at HMP Holme for a brew

Took Owd Fatty up to the Lake District for the day 8) She's not a patch on the GS but she performed admirably for such an old overweight girl.
