2007 RT accessory socket problem

2007 RT accessory socket problem

I tested my heated vest today in the rear accessory socket and it works fine. The power draw is just over 5Amp well within the 10A rating. The strange thing is when i turn the vest off by the lead switch or by pulling the plug it trips the Cambus. I switch off the bike and then on and everything is live again. I switch the vest on and it heats up without any faults. I would have thought the Cambus would have tripped when turning the vest on not by switching it off.
I Am lost for answers as the Cambus seems to be working backwards. I also tried an old pair of heated gloves in the socket and the same happened when i switched them off. I tried them on the front socket and the same thing happened again.
I've also tried plugging my vest and gloves into my other bike to see if there was a fault with the vest but its works perfectly. but this bike has no Cambus system fitted.
Any clues that will sort this out?.

Go directly to the battery with a fused lead and ditch the CAN-bus.

Sort of defeats these sockets if you cant use them

Defeats the supplied battery lead for the heated gear if you don't use them as well.

A lead bolted to the battery can be routed to come out between the seat and tank for connection to heated kit.

IMO, using either the front or rear accessory socket would result in excess wiring flapping about and awkward access from the rear socket.
