Problems fitting the Garmin bracket to the e-Nav 3D Adapter

Post by potatan »

Hi,

Edit: All sorted now. I had attached the power lead upside down.

My adapter arrived today from https://www.adapter3dmotorrad.com/en/product/e-nav-xt-rt/ so I tried to fit it to my new Zumo XT

Whilst I can't rule out that I'm an idiot, I'm wondering if Garmin may have recently changed the specifications on the Zumo XT so that the screws are no longer long enough to reach the adapter's captive nuts.

I tried the original Garmin screws too (the longer ones in the pics) but they wouldn't reach the nuts either.

Any tips? Or just buy longer screws (and any advice about the correct screw sizes, plus where to buy 4 of them)

Thanks
