Lock removal tool

Post by Fourbears »

Is there a specific tool to remove the lock from a 2014 on LC pannier? I need to transfer my lock to a new one but it seems to be needing a tool. I’ve looked at YouTube but it seems that you need a specially fabricated tool only available from a bloke in the USA. Anyone done this or made their own/bought one? How does a BMW dealer do it?

I just used this tool to remove the lock cylinder on my 2012 top box. I had lost the only key I had, as it wasn’t keyed to my ignition.
The tool worked well, I had the cylinder out in about a minute.
