Re: Fuel light
Sounds reasonable to me, what was the remaining range.John O wrote:Fuel light comes on at 230 miles, would this be common on the RT.
Re: Fuel light
Ok , there was 35 remaining.
Guess that's about average so. I've heard of people getting 300ml per tank ?

Re: Fuel light
300 miles is achievable, on a trip from Portsmouth, the miles completed + the remaining range came to a total of 380 miles on a tank full of fuel.John O wrote:I've heard of people getting 300 miles per tank.

Re: Fuel light
Mine comes on with about 50 miles left in the tank. David, are you based in Portsmouth?.
Trust me I am a retired Doctor and lecturer at Oxford University of Structural and Mechanical/Electrical engineering.

No, sorry for any confusion, I was riding back home to Teesside after meeting a friend off the ferry.Doctor T wrote:David, are you based in Portsmouth.

Re: Fuel light
I get 61mpg which gives me a range of about 330 miles to a tank, reserve light comes on around the 280 mile mark. That's using Tesco's E10 and commuting to work and back.
The GS 'is' the better bike :-)
