D30 armor

Post by Doctor T »

Just bought a new jacket and it came with D30 armor. The problem is with the back protector i can't work out which way it to fit it.
I've added a picture. Can someone tell me which way it fits? Which side faces outside or which side faces my back.

I have always put the "waffley" side next to my back. But I can't say for sure that is correct. It's just how the shop put it into a jacket I bought at the same time. It's better for airflow, but might not be how it's designed to work on impact. Interested to know if someone can point to a definitive answer as well.

I've watched YT videos and some put it one way and others put it another way. Am waiting for a reply to the email i sent to D30 here in the UK.

After all this time i received a reply from D30. The wavey side should face inwards i.e against your back. The waves are meant to contour to your spine. It also reduces sweat build up.
