Motorcycle workshop ramp
Am going to treat myself to a workshop ramp as am fed up with crawling around on the floor. I know weight and length comes into the equation. As this will be my first ramp so am looking for some recommendations of makes and models. Can you comment on any?

Re: Motorcycle workshp ramp
I have the Clarke lift from MachineMart(bought as a birthday present when they had a no vat promotion)Great sturdy ramp that has a wheel vice at the front that holds the bike and a rear section that lifts out(should you need)holds my RT no problem,as well as every other bike I've owned.
That's the work bike(GSF1250)Changing chain/sprockets.
Never had an issue with the lift.As you say,sod the days of crawling round the floor

Hi
I use an Abba Skylift. works great both wheel are easily accessible and its easy to get to the underside of the bike. Downside is you need a bench or table to keep your tools on

I have a lift that was off Ebay
I can't find the same one now but its pretty decent
You need to make sure you get one with a bed long enough for the RT
Eventually mine is going to go in the floor of my garage if you ever plan on doing this either get one with a remote hand pump or an electric/air operated one

Re: Motorcycle workshop ramp
I have a Clarke ramp (CML3) and it has served me well, I only wish I had bought one sooner rather than waiting about 30 years before doing so!
Got mine here, good price and quick delivery. https://www.sitebox.ltd.uk/

Re: Motorcycle workshop ramp
A workshop ramp would be nice but my garage floor is covered in carpet tiles and I recently installed a heater.

Re: Motorcycle workshop ramp
I have a seat also but mine converts to a creeper as well. It does save bending down all the time. I used to use a trolley jack and a pair of car axle stands to work on bikes.
I've sorted out a ramp. A bike shop not that far from me is getting new equipment. They have offered me one of their professional ramps at a good price. I can pick it up next week. I've booked Pirtek to give it a service and a safety test. My local builder merchants have ordered 6 ground bolts to fix it to my concrete floor. Just have to move my workbenches and lathe about a bit.
Thank you all for the input
