I can't hear my Cardo speakers for music/phone calls/gps directions once I get over 80km/h due to wind noise in my Airoh helmet. I wish I had tried to use my phone and a good quality set of earbuds before outlaying on the bluetooth system.
As I use my phone for everything so far (gps & hud) I'm thinking teamspeak or wifi calling may have handled any comms I require.
I realise some options rely on good cell coverage but coverage is very good on main highways and most coastal regions in Australia anyway. Using a phone also means anybody else with a phone can communicate too... No $700+ mesh system required. I have no need for pillion comms as that seat is used for stowage space.
Just an idea, untested but cheap to try....

I have a cardo packtalk as does the wife and 6 others I ride with

No issues with audio at all right up to 110mph

The trick is to get the speakers perfectly placed if they are not inline with you're ears then the volume seems low
