De-cat

Post by Doctor T »

My friend's 2005 1200rt Cat has developed a rattle inside. She has been quoted over £1400 for a Cat and end can from BM. To me, the end can looks fine.
Does anyone in the UK/EU know of any company that makes a de-cat pipe Y piece for here bike? I can find loads for an LC but none for a Hexhead. She is out of work at the moment but needs the bike to get around to interviews.

How about getting the Y piece cut before the cat, knocking the cat out and re-welding back together.

I have seen this done locally to good effect to de-cat an MV Augusta.

Are these guys anywhere near you, https://www.powerflowexhausts.co.uk/Powerflow-Brighton
