Hello Folks
I have been watching this Forum for some time now but have recently joined.
I have owned my current R1200RT LC from new in 2017. This was my first BMW. Moved from a Yamaha FJR.
Ive had over 5 years on it and some great runs up here in Scotland.
I had been thinking of upgrading it this year but could not seem to find a deal i was happy with and loved the present bike so probably didn’t look at it serious enough. Although these bikes hold their value well, the new cost of the bike has jumped dramatically in 5 years (probably 25- 30%) making the change price quite a lot
Anyway this week my BMW dealer had taken in a couple of BMW X management bikes. These are 6 month old bikes with a 2000-3000 miles on them. The bikes are prepped for sale to dealers by BMW themselves.
So the bikes are just like new bikes other than probably the discolour on the exhaust. That’s only way you would know not new. They have also been driven by one person rather than a dealer demo which I feel get abused.
So after hard negotiations with my dealer I have agreed to purchase a R1250 RT LE in Racing blue.
I will probably get this end of week and I’m mega excited.
I,m just removing the extras from my bike and waiting for the V5 to come back taking off my Reg no.
I will have a few parts up for sale shortly from my old bike including wunderlich chrome engine bars, Advant Fender extender, Navigation V unit BMW fog lights with wiring harness, brackets and handle bar switch
I will post up some pics of the new bike once she’s home and I get my top box and bars on it.
Roll on next spring so I can get some great runs on her
Look forward to speaking to some of you on here too.
