See the avatars have disappeared again.
Trust me I am a retired Doctor and lecturer at Oxford University of Structural and Mechanical/Electrical engineering.

Am I missing something?

Apart from avatars 🤣

I know some people's have been broken since the forum software change and the members need to either upload a new one or delete the broken one.

I haven seen anyones disappearing and coming back though? Is that's what's happening?
